Frequently asked questions
General questions about dance classes
Where can I see the class timetable?
The timetable for all classes is on the Timetable and prices page. There you can also see which groups are active or enrolling for a new group.
How much do the dance classes cost?
Current prices for group classes are on the Timetable and prices page. For the wedding dance, you'll find the packages on their own page, and private lesson prices are on that same page.
My schedule doesn't let me make it to every class. What are my options?
Depending on your schedule or your child's, you can choose a subscription of 4 or 8 sessions a month. You can also opt for private dance lessons with one of our trainers, agreeing together on a schedule that fits your timetable.
What level do I need to join BloomArt classes?
You can join BloomArt classes whatever your level. Groups are organized by age and level, starting with beginners.
If you practice performance dance sport and are looking for a new club, contact us to discuss joining performance training with the trainers. It is available on request.
Can I take only private lessons, without coming to group classes?
Of course. You can talk to our trainers to book private lessons, whether you don't have time to make it to the group, you get stage fright, or you'd like to progress at a different pace. Lessons last 45 minutes; the schedule is agreed with the trainer.
How long do I have to use the sessions in my subscription?
Group subscriptions are monthly, and sessions don't carry over from one month to the next. For example, a subscription bought for April is used within that month.
I'd like to buy a subscription halfway through the month. When do I start and how much do I pay?
If you join a BloomArt dance class halfway through the calendar month, in the first month you pay a share of the subscription matching the number of sessions left in the month. From the following month, you pay the full subscription.
Is the first session free?
The first session is free for standard group subscriptions. The offer does not apply to wedding dance packages, which include a free 30-minute consultation.

Private dance lessons
How much do private dance lessons cost?
Private lessons can be bought individually or in packages of 5, 7, or 10 lessons of 45 minutes. Prices are listed on the Timetable and prices page. Contact us for availability.
How long do I have to complete the sessions in the package I bought?
For a wedding dance or private lesson package, all lessons must be completed within the following periods: 5-lesson packages within 5 weeks; 7-lesson packages within 6 weeks; 10-lesson packages within 7 weeks.
If a lesson is postponed by the trainer for personal or health reasons, the period for completing the lessons is extended by the length of the postponement.
Children's classes
What is the minimum age at which my child can start dance classes?
Baby Dance is for children aged 3–5, with games and activities suited to their age. For learning more complex steps and choreographies, the studio's general recommendation is around the age of 4–5, when balance, memory, and concentration support learning.
Every child is different. Together, we'll talk through the group that suits their age, interest, and readiness.
What children's dance classes does BloomArt Academy offer?
Baby Dance for ages 3–5, and Modern Dance and Street Dance Kids, in groups for ages 6–10 and 11–14, also organized by level. Performance dance sport training is discussed with the trainers, on request.
What is the timetable for the children's classes?
Please check the current schedule on the Timetable and prices page. Street Dance Kids is enrolling for a new group.
Is there somewhere I can wait during my child's classes?
Yes, of course. Our studio has an anteroom with chairs and benches, as well as a spacious balcony, where you can wait until the end of the class.
Adult classes
Which styles are taught in the adult social dance classes?
Latin American dances (salsa, merengue, bachata, samba, cha-cha-cha, and rumba), North American dances (jive and West Coast swing), and European dances (waltz, Viennese waltz, quickstep, and foxtrot). We like to vary the dances we teach, with surprise styles in class.
At the moment, the social dance group is not active. Write to us if you're interested in the next group.
What is the schedule for the adult classes?
The active Street Dance Lady Only group meets on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 20:00 to 21:30. Mixed Street Dance and social dance are coming back soon.
Where are the adult dance classes held?
At the BloomArt Academy studio on Strada Tăbăcarilor 14, 2nd floor, sector 4, Bucharest.
I have no dance experience at all. Can I come to classes?
Of course. Beginners are welcome. Write to us or give us a call, and together we'll find the group that suits you.
Is the mixed adult Street Dance group active?
At the moment, the active group is Street Dance Lady Only, for women only. The mixed group is coming back soon.
Wedding dance
How many sessions do we need to learn our wedding dance?
In short, it depends. The number of sessions comes down to the difficulty of the choreography, the dance style you choose, the pace at which you learn, and the details you want to polish.
In our experience, most couples who work with the BloomArt team learn a choreography of medium difficulty in 5–10 sessions. Our packages contain 5, 7, or 10 lessons, and the choice is discussed at the free consultation.
If you'd like to combine several choreographies and music styles, dance for more than 5 minutes, or include complex figures, you may need more than 10 sessions. You can book extra lessons or contact us for a personalized schedule.
How long before the wedding should we start preparing?
It depends on how much time you have each week and how much you can practice at home. If you're busy and only have 2–3 hours a week for training, allow more time for learning the dance.
In general, we recommend starting your wedding dance lessons at least 2 months before the wedding. You'll have time to learn the choreography, practice at home and, if needed, add lessons so you feel at ease on the dance floor.
The wedding is very soon. What are our options?
Contact us to talk about your plans and the time you have. We don't recommend starting just a few days before the wedding, but we can discuss a choreography suited to your experience and the time left.
In this situation, lessons can be more frequent, and the time available may limit the complexity and length of the choreography. Together we'll work out what's possible, depending on the trainer's availability and your time for rehearsals.
