About us

The BloomArt Academy story

Our story began at the end of 2021, when the BloomArt founders, Alina and Cătălin Oțelea, wanted to create more than a dance studio: a friendly, familiar place where every one of us, young or old, experienced or taking our first steps, feels at home and can explore their creative side, coordination and musicality.

At BloomArt, we believe dance is for all of us, however experienced we are and whatever our age.

Alina Oțelea

Alina has called the dance hall her second home since childhood, when she started dance sport. After a performance career at national and international level, Alina shares her enthusiasm for dance both with adults looking for recreation and with performance athletes.

When she is not in the studio, Alina likes walks in nature, board games, horse riding, or playing with her two cats, a “royal alley cat” and a British Shorthair.

Cătălin Oțelea

Even as a child, Cătălin had boundless energy, which he invested in several sports at a high level, among them salsa and dance sport. Together with Alina, he trains adults, performance athletes, and couples preparing their wedding dance.

He is drawn to sports and adventure in nature, and he is proud that he cycled all the way to Constanța and went cliff jumping in Malta. When he is not out in nature or in the studio, Cătă never says no to a gaming session, a good stand-up comedy show, or a read about science and technology.

Giulia Crăciun

Giulia has practiced performance dance sport since she was just 3 years old. In her competitive career, she has taken part in numerous national and international competitions on the WDSF circuit. Since 2018, Giulia has also taught dance sport, modern dance, and formation dance.

When she is not in the studio, Giulia divides her time between her second great passion, professional makeup, and walks in nature, where she is always looking for little-visited places to observe down to the smallest detail and photograph. As much as she loves walks in nature, she dislikes sand on the beach, even though she is originally from Constanța.

What our students say

I started dance classes a year ago together with my husband and a group of friends. At first, we wanted to pick up new skills, so that we could adapt and have fun at any kind of party or event. In the end, after a year, I can say that the dance classes are a true oasis of relaxation, fun and good cheer, where we met a dedicated, patient and very well-trained teacher who instills in you the pleasure of dancing and learning.
